Connect QuickBooks to Claude

In early 2026 Intuit and Anthropic announced a multi-year partnership to bring QuickBooks (plus TurboTax, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp) into Claude. With the QuickBooks connector switched on, Claude can pull live financial data - profit and loss, cash flow, transactions, benchmarks against similar businesses - and explain it in plain English. All read-only, all securely authenticated.

A Claude account	Web or desktop, signed into the same email you want to authorise QuickBooks from.
Admin access to your QuickBooks company	TipIf you don’t have admin rights, ask whoever manages your company file to enable the connector once - after that you can use it.

3Connecting in three clicks

The walkthrough:

Open Claude. Go to Customise → Connectors (or Settings → Connectors).
Search for Intuit QuickBooks. Click Connect.
You’ll be sent to Intuit’s sign-in. Pick the QuickBooks company you want to authorise, review the permissions, and click Connect.
You’re back in Claude with QuickBooks listed as Connected. Try the prompts in section 5.

How is the connection authenticated?	ReadOAuth via Intuit. Claude calls the API as you, with the scopes you approved.
Can Claude change my books?	Mostly read-only. Some write actions (e.g. importing transactions) require explicit confirmation before they post.
How do I revoke access?	In QuickBooks: Apps → Connected apps → find Claude → Disconnect. Takes effect immediately.
